My Experience:

Yami herbals is a simple, trustworthy & traditional home made brand that claims to be 100% natural & chemical free. It is one of the affordable brands in this segment. I was initially sceptical about this brand’s authenticity but after doing my usual homework, found it promising & happened to try their facepack & Scrub. Read on to know my take on their Skin polishing scrub….

Packaging: It was sent to me in a cylindrical container made of paper board. The label design was trendy, color coded with white & black. The product was inside it in a plastic tub with a screw cap & spoon which is comfortable to use. No complaints. This had an orange themed label with the key details. I liked the outer black & white carton, but not a fan of the inner tub & label.

Texture & Colour : It is a light greenish brown ubtan. I couldn’t spot any exfoliation granules when dry but when applied I felt some scrubbing elements. It spreads well & little quantity is required per usage. This is a mild scrub & can be used every alternative day. The 100g when used for whole body, should easily last for a month.

Fragrance: It has a herbal fragrance when it is dry. However when emulsified with water, it majorly smells pleasant of rose petals.

Ingredients Analysis: The ingredients list sounds good with Rose petals & green gram that are exfoliation specific with other lovely ingredients like turmeric, vasambu, badam, pista to impart extra glow & pampering. It has no added colours, fragrance or preservatives. The biggest doubt I had looking at the ingredients is how can such rich ingredients be afforded for such an economic price. This s where my marketing mind came into play and when she said she prepares 7 kg per month & sells, I understood that the strategy is low margin, more no. Of sales & hence higher profit. Fair enough.

Efficiency: As I said this is mild yet efficient scrub that can be safely used frequently. I use it with water as I follow it with the brightening pack. It does decent exfoliation and leaves a clean & soft skin behind. It can also be left on the skin for longer time as a body mask too. It imparts a nice glow as it has a lot of other interesting ingredients that can do wonders to the skin. I also have to mention that this works on pigmentation too(with turmeric, U can expect tat as well).

  • 100% natural
  • chemical free
  • mild & safe

  • availability
  • packaging standards can be improved

My Verdict: A traditional pampering scrub that does a decent exfoliation! I’m convinced with the authenticity of the brand 👍
