My Experience:

My chemical free skin care journey is 5 years old & Juicy Chemistry is one brand that I came across very often recommended for its authenticity, effectiveness & simplicity. I happened to get my hands on their Aloevera toner, one of it’s kind in that section. Being an oily skin person, I constantly keep swapping every product to be acne/oily skin specific. It’s been more than a month since I’m using this, so let’s get to the review…

Packaging: It comes in an amber coloured rectangle bottle with a spray dispenser & transparent cap. The bottle looks simple & sturdy. It is travel friendly. The label design is classy, colour coded with white & green aligned with the ingredient(aloevera) used. The spray dispenser is easy to use & dispenses the product fuss free.

Texture: Like every toner it is watery. It is non sticky and gets easily absorbed. Unlike other toners, this one leaves a very thin film on the face(mild residue). I liked this because, that is the very nature of the AloeVera. (I find this as a protection shield..haha…overthinking I know). This 100ml lasted me for a month when used twice a day. I always prefer spraying & havent used with a cotton ball, so can’t comment on that.

Color & Fragrance: It is a colourless liquid. Also, aloevera has no fragrance of its own. So I appreciate the fact that this toner is fragrance free too.

Ingredients analysis: There is nothing much to analyse here. All juicy chemistry ingredients lists are pretty straight forward and clean. Similarly, this is 100% pure steam distilled aloe Vera water!

Effectiveness: Frankly, the residue it leaves behind helps me skip my moisturiser & I proceed to sunscreen directly. This toner is hydrating & soothes the skin. It calms down the irritated acne prone skin & hence prevents from further aggrevating the acne. I must also say it helps in preventing the spread of infection. (However if U have stubborn acne, please choose their tea tree toner). I found it an excellent remedy for sunburns as it instantly cools down the skin post sun exposure.  I have used toners from forest essentials & Kama Ayurveda in the last 5 years, which were great but this is by far the best toner for oily skin beauties as it is skin specific & who doesn’t know the miracles of aloevera!!!

Pros:

  • no added fragrance
  • no added color
  • certified organic
  • Skin specific
  • prevents sunburn
  • fuss free usage

Cons:

  • None

My Verdict: Best toner for oily skin that I have come across. Summer is in & this one has got a permanent place in my kitty! I’m on my second bottle😃
