My Experience:

Botanic Love is new to me. A higher SPF in the chemical free range is rare and that lead me to this brand. The founder was kind enough to patiently answer all my doubts and after the basic homework I started using this vitamin E SPF 50.

Packaging: It comes in a bottle with pump dispenser that is simple, hygienic and classy.

Texture: It is thick, creamy and lotion like in winters & Tends to be runny in summers. The 100ml would comfortably last for a month when used for face & body.

Fragrance: I’m a fan of floral & earthy fragrances. This has a fragrance of almond and saffron & is mild.  If u like nutty spicy fragrance, you will love this.

Ingredients Analysis: The label doesn’t carry a detailed ingredient list as of now. However this brand recently got certified natural & hence the new batch will come out with proper labels is what the brand has assured. However, the founder was transparent & shared the above full ingredients list on a personal request, that too with the proportions. Respect! The SPF is from zinc oxide & titanium dioxide, both naturally occurring minerals. Most of the ingredients are super impressive and works miracles on skin. Lotion base composition has not been mentioned but since it is certified natural, I assume it should be an approved natural base. The only ingredient of moderate concern is Benzyl alcohol.

Efficiency: It stays put throughout the day and there is no need for reapplication. It does a neat job as a sunscreen. It takes a little extra work to blend(the case is the same with all mineral sunscreens) but once done it leaves a supercool matte finish…the kind I’ve been yearning for✌🏻having very oily skin. At the same time it leaves no white cast, feels really light. I have active acne and it doesn’t aggrevate the same. Since it has almond, kokum butter & many oils that are  hydrating, it doesn’t feel stretchy at all. My body skin is very dry and am very comfortable with this.

Pros:

  • matte finish
  • No reapplication required
  • neat packaging
  • higher SPF

Cons:

  • benzyl alcohol
  • availability

My Verdict: With a higher spf and a neat matte finish, it’s a supercool product👍
